Built-up roofing BUR

This system, which has been around for many years, is composed of a continuous, semi-flexible roof membrane consisting of multiple plies of saturated felts, coated felts, fabrics or mats. They are assembled in place with alternate layers of bitumen and surfaced with mineral aggregate, bituminous materials, a liquid-applied coating or a granule-surfaced cap sheet.

  • Lifespan of 15 to 18 years
  • Resistant to foot traffic
  • UV resistant
  • Available in two colours: grey and white
  • Good track record

Polymer-modified bitumen systems

Polymer-modified bitumen membranes have been on the market for more than 40 years. Composed of sheets consisting of a polymer-modified bitumen often reinforced with various types of mats or films, and sometime surfaced with films, foils, or mineral granules.

  • Lifespan of approximately 30 years
  • Quick and easy installation
  • Quality controlled (factory manufactured)
  • Seams are heat welded providing  good watertightness
  • Low-maintenance
  • Well-adapted to our environment

Hybrid Modified Bitumen BUR

This roofing system is a hybrid of conventional roofing components with modified bituminous membranes.

This combination provides all the advantages of a multilayer roof – such as fire-resistance, air circulation, and exceptionally resistance to water and weather, resistance to wind damage – alongside longevity and durability.

No matter which technology you choose, basic upkeep is essential if you are looking to maximize your roof’s waterproofing abilities and lifespan.
